So it seems one of the hidden treasures associated with iPads is that you can't upload photos to your blogs!! FANTASTIC!! Grrrrrrrrrr x infinite. So for the next three weeks my blogs will continue their Plain Jane appearances sorry! And I had every intention of changing that trend!! So for any of my surrogacy blogging friends who would like photos of my accommodation or whatever please email me at the jacaranda843@gmail.com address and I will see what I can do!
Today was most definitely an interesting day for me and actually too many new things happened that I will need to give you the abbreviated version - which isn't like me - but there you go!
Today was most definitely an interesting day for me and actually too many new things happened that I will need to give you the abbreviated version - which isn't like me - but there you go!
- Woke 5.30am (my new normal)!!
- Read email from husband (xx) updating latest frustrations with visa clowns.
- Wanted to cry, scream, throw something. Thought things couldn't get any worse.
- Then the power went out!
- Cracked it! Decided today was the day I was going for a BIG walk ... ALL ON MY OWN and no amount of Scaredy Pantitis was going to stop me!! LOOK OUT WORLD NOW I'M CRANKY!!!
- Actually managed to pull it off too!! Found two more little parks and didn't get lost! Gold Medal Australia!!!!
- Back 'home' still no power! Hmmmmmm. Usually back on within half an hour!!
- Phone call from Vipul. Power expected to be out for at least SIX HOURS!
- Ie no wifi, no tv, no air conditioning, no lights, no hope of staying sane - big breath went in!
- Vipul still talking! Sending his driver to collect me and take me to another residence WITH power for the WHOLE day.
- Gold Medal Vipul!!
- Long story short - mini electrical crisis allowed me to meet some fellow bloggers 'just around the corner' from me because the driver picked them up as well!! Yipppeeeee!!!
- Had a great time catching up in real life!
- Temporary residence for the day was another Green Leaf property 6km from us near Apollo Hospital. Lovely looking place - more stylish - but tiny rooms so more perfect for this situation than for an extended stay with a baby situation!
- Only ended up staying for a couple of hours then power back on so after pizza and 'soda' allowed ourselves to be returned :)
- Popped back round to spend time with my new friends - outings planned etc :)
- Also contacted Poonam to introduce myself and see if she may be able to help us with our visa bollocks situation - as well as the baby paperwork. . .when we have a baby that it!
- If she can I will love her forever!!
- Also packed Baby Bag for the hospital tonight just in case . . . .
- And now it's 9pm - I wish I was able to watch the Aussie OPALS play their basketball match tonight but apparently Indian Pay TV have decided that table tennis and wrestling are more important! RATS!!
Nightie Night Blogland. Thank you for continuing to support me!
Jacaranda xx
Sounds like quite an exciting day overall. I am soooo excited to hear you have the baby bag packed! Yipppeeee not long now I'm sure xxx
ReplyDeleteSounds like your "India Personal Growth Opportunities" will include: adventures, patience, flexibility, humor, and many new friends. It also sounds like you are easily rising to the top of each 'opportunity'.
ReplyDeleteSupport and cheers to you, your husband and all your fellow hopeful new parents. Best and healthy wishes for all the miracle wonder babies and appreciation for their birthing surrogates!

Sounds like a busy day. They're about to get busier!!
ReplyDeleteThe power outage was Massive: "Over 350 million people affected with the entire northern Indian grid down -Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh etc"
ReplyDeleteGlad it was up and running as quickly as it was, amazing that it was up and running again so fast really, although in the heat it would have felt like much longer.
Great you have 'outings planned' as there are so many wonderful sights in Delhi.
Hope you have a blast !!!
Love this post. It captures the love and the hate of India! Cant wait to hear news of your bubs arrival. All the best
ReplyDeleteI'm getting so excited for you. I can't wait to hear how the Visa situation works out. We're thinking of just doing the tourist visa to avoid the problems you guys are having. Hope you survived the power outages!

My news in CA sounds like you all lost power again. Trusting the newborn baby center has generator and did not face medical issues over it all. Hard with news to know what is really happening; but am sending concern and good wishes to all the parents and babies involved.
